As a charter skipper/owner, when Jonathan Barlow decided to upgrade the electronics on Extreme Measures his focus was deep water performance and ease of use.

Jonathan had previously used different electronics brands that were difficult or clumsy to operate, so the intuitive Simrad NSE user interface really appealed.  Feedback from Jonathan is that he's particularly impressed with how easy the Simrad package is to use, along with the clarity of the LED screen and the broadband sounder.

"Extreme Measures is a purpose built 43ft alloy cat designed for fishing and diving – powered by twin 300hp V8 Yamaha 4-stroke outboards which are extremely smooth, quiet and FAST! She is equipped with the latest Simrad electronics and all MSA safety equipment.

The design of this vessel offers excellent stability and protection from the elements – a spacious cabin, fishing cockpit, toilet and hot shower makes for a very comfortable day out. Ideally suited for eight to ten people day fishing at any one time. She is in safe ship management and currently in survey for 16 people with Maritime NZ.
