Advance Trident is proud to work closely with the recreational and commercial marine industries in New Zealand, from fishing trawlers through to superyachts.
Here are some of our recent projects:
Extreme Measures - Fish & Dive Charters
Vessel:
Bladerunner alloy cat
Product:
Simrad
As a charter skipper/owner, when Jonathan Barlow decided to upgrade the electronics on Extreme Measures his focus was deep water performance and ease of use.
Jonathan had previously used different electronics brands that were difficult or clumsy to operate, so the intuitive Simrad NSE user interface really appealed. Feedback from Jonathan is that he's particularly impressed with how easy the Simrad package is to use, along with the clarity of the LED screen and the broadband sounder.
In a NZ first, ATL was awarded the installation of the new revolutionary Simrad Argus Radar on the long line vessel Antarctic Chieftain. The Simrad Argus radar system is the only radar on the market that can have two radars input to the one radar processor and run simultaneously.
"Scott was down in the Nelson area and came across to Picton. He did some fault finding with the setup and it was a pleasure to see Scott working on this equipment .With a software upgrade and a trip around the harbour setting up some of the finer details we really started to see the equipment working and displaying its full potential."

Built by Pachoud Motor Yachts and designed by Roger Hill, Voodoo was on show at the Auckland International Boat Show 2011, turning heads with her modern sculptural lines and high-tech helm.
Brett Geldard was tasked with putting together a Simrad electronics package that would match the high quality of the boat. As Voodoo is to be used for family cruising and fishing and also extended voyages to the Pacific Islands, the robust Simrad NSO platform was recommended in conjunction with Nobeltec VSS11 charting.
Recently launched from Lloyd Stevenson Boat Builders, Equilibrium is a 55 ft performance cruiser designed by the European design office of Botin Carkeek. This is the same designer that designed Emirates Team New Zealand’s TP52 and Volvo Open 70.
The owner is passionate about his racing as well as cruising, so the electronics needed to give accurate reliable information and present it in a form that is easy to read and easy to understand.
