Advance Trident is proud to work closely with the recreational and commercial marine industries in New Zealand, from fishing trawlers through to superyachts.
Here are some of our recent projects:
Voodoo
Vessel:
55ft Roger Hill design power catamaran
Product:
B&G H3000 Hercules Performance
Built by Pachoud Motor Yachts and designed by Roger Hill, Voodoo was on show at the Auckland International Boat Show 2011, turning heads with her modern sculptural lines and high-tech helm.
Brett Geldard was tasked with putting together a Simrad electronics package that would match the high quality of the boat. As Voodoo is to be used for family cruising and fishing and also extended voyages to the Pacific Islands, the robust Simrad NSO platform was recommended in conjunction with Nobeltec VSS11 charting.
Recently launched from Lloyd Stevenson Boat Builders, Equilibrium is a 55 ft performance cruiser designed by the European design office of Botin Carkeek. This is the same designer that designed Emirates Team New Zealand’s TP52 and Volvo Open 70.
The owner is passionate about his racing as well as cruising, so the electronics needed to give accurate reliable information and present it in a form that is easy to read and easy to understand.
SIMRAD multifunction display, communication and navigation package
A repeat Simrad enthusiast, this client didn't hesitate to install a higher spec Simrad electronics package following the upgrade to the large Riviera 45. This package, which includes the Simrad NSE and 3G broadband radar, has enabled him to travel further, chasing marlin in the far north and hapuku to great depths, while also ensuring safe and easy family cruising.
For two Auckland businessmen with an enthusiasm for fishing and extended cruising with family and friends, Simrad and Intellian were the first choice when it came to choosing a marine electronics package.
Simrad Argus Radar receives impressive local review
Vessel:
FV Meridian
Product:
SIMRAD Argus Radar
The fishing trawler FV Meridian has recently sailed with the new SIMRAD Argus 25 KWatt Radar installed. This ground breaking radar represents the latest innovations in design and technology, combining the benefits from traditional pulse radar scanner technology with that of broadband.
The vessel's skipper, Valeriy Slyusarenko, rates the new SIMRAD Argus Radar as being "very good, a real proper commercial radar and significantly better" than other radars he has used in the past.
